When will you seek help?
There are many reasons why people seek professional help to resolve health issues of mental health issues. What really weighs is if an isssue impairs your ability to function in different areas of life. You may experience limitations in you ability to exist en survive every day life, work or have fun. Issues that prevent you from working tend to have priority.  What one persons experience as an issue will not bother the next.

Common phobias are often regarded as luxury problems because one can cirucumvent an issue like fear of heights. As far as I'm concerned, if you want freedom of any such feelings or issues, and are willing to do EFT, you can be freed.

Prerequisites, terms and conditions.
Research by Gendlin (known from Focusing) has shown that the people who make the greatest gain in therapy are those people who can reflect and tell you how their issue has effected them, how it touched them, how it feels to them in their body. This body awareness is referred to as a felt sense.

Basic requirements for EFT, as an intervention technique or stand alone form of therapy, are the ability to feel and willingness to feel, as well as accepting the responsibility for you life and your issues. Medication that influences (decreases) the ability to feel feelings and emotions (antidepressants, antipsychotic medication, anti-anxiety drugs, sleep medication, and especailly combinations) will slow the speed of the EFT process.  This also indicates that people with dissociate disorders will have a hard time getting EFT to work without first addressing the dissociation. An example: Can you feel what fear of heights feels like in your body? Imagine yourself in a situation where you would experience a fear of heights like a ladder, bridge, bunjee-jumping or parachute jumping.

The feeling requirement applies to the following list of issues which have been treated by Energy Psychology intervention techniques like EFT regularly.
